Susan Beauchamp, Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, Project Management Professional and Senior Consultant
Susan Beauchamp is the founder of Beauchamp Consulting and the co-founder and managing Director of OpExecs, providing customer-specific consultation and accelerated project management since 2002. She is a relationship builder, skilled process analyst, Lean Six Sigma expert, highly effective trainer, experienced project manager and executive coach. She integrates with executive-sponsored teams to quickly and effectively translate strategies and training into results. Susan has a 25+ year proven track record as a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt and has utilized Lean and Six Sigma tools and techniques to assist corporations in executing process improvement projects in both service and manufacturing environments. She has applied Lean Six Sigma in several diverse environments and industries including: government, telecommunications, chemical manufacturing, corporate IT and sourcing, billing applications and industrial manufacturing.
Susan’s experience spans both large and small corporations at all management levels across a variety of functions. She has successfully trained more than 1,400 personnel in areas that include Lean Six Sigma Green and Black Belt, Champion and Sponsors, Project Management, Workout Facilitation and Change Management. She is passionate about sharing Lean Six Sigma thinking with individuals to transform the way people act when solving problems to accelerate results.
Susan is an experienced instructor who develops training materials, trains and certifies students for Lean and Six Sigma for Villanova/Bisk University, public and private organizations. She is a Subject Matter Expert, Professor and Net Promoter Score survey lead for professional certifications.
Fidel Kandell, Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, Operations Leader and Senior Consultant
Fidel Kandell is a co-founder and managing Director of OpExecs, formed in 2020 to provide value-added services in operational excellence. He is a skilled engineer with experience as a project manager and expertise in strategic restructuring programs, transfers of work, assembly line start-ups, divestitures and new product introductions. Fidel has a proven track record as an operations leader, program director and operational excellence director who works with top-level executives and cross-functional teams to plan and deploy effective strategic and tactical plans with significant cost-saving results. With over 28 years' experience optimizing operational processes, he has become a master of using Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques to implement continuous process improvement projects in industrial environments.
Fidel’s process expertise includes electro-mechanical manufacturing, foam manufacturing, facility operations, materials planning, customer service, sourcing, project management, and restructuring programs. He was a plant manager for six years with General Electric. He has worked on many projects and factories across Mexico, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Chile and Brazil, and is fluent in Spanish.
Fidel is an experienced instructor who has trained and certified 100+ green belt students for Lean and Six Sigma. On a personal note, Fidel is an avid traveler who also enjoys riding his ’99 HD Sportster around back country roads throughout North Carolina.
David Cade, Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, Project Management Professional and Senior Consultant
David Cade obtained Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and Black Belt training and was certified with Lockheed Martin in 1999 and 2003. He helped to implement the Master Black Belt program within Lockheed Martin in 2003. He has served as a Lean Master Black Belt since 2003.
With over 25 years’ of experience in leading and supporting Corporate Strategy, Research & Development, Operations, and Information Technology, David has used Lean Six Sigma to drive continuous improvement in multiple functions, with the Government and across many customer/supplier borders. Currently he is a research fellow in Electrical & Computer Engineering. Previously he was an Adjunct professor in Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics for several years.
David obtained a B.S. Mechanical Engineering, Villanova University; M.S. Mechanical Engineering, University of Pennsylvania; M.S. Engineering Management, Drexel University; and a PhD Electrical & Computer Engineering, Rowan University (In process).
In his spare time, David enjoys coaching youth basketball and track and anything Marvel, DC, or Star Wars-related.
Alan Anderson, Lean Expert and Operations Leader and Senior Consultant
Alan Anderson Alan has 25+ years of Operations and Process Excellence expertise with a proven track record for developing people to be leaders. He has demonstrated success driving safety, ensuring quality, and delivering top and bottom-line performance. His extensive experience includes implementing global supply chain solutions to effectively transition product lines and manufacturing facilities for Fortune 500 industry leaders in the US and Asia.
He has served in various operational leadership roles including manufacturing plant management, production control and materials management, and operational excellence project management and team coaching. Alan’s core competencies are in the implementation of Lean Six Sigma, Continuous improvement, New Product Development, Sales & Operations Planning and Program Management.
Wendy James, LSS Green Belt, Communications and Marketing Professional
Wendy James is currently the Marketing and Communications Manager for Beauchamp Consulting in West Chester, PA. She works with the principal and other consultants to provide Six Sigma process improvement training as well as communication and marketing expertise. Prior to her current job, Wendy was a marketing and branding specialist at the DuPont Company. She has more than 15 years of marketing and communications experience across 16 major business segments in DuPont where she helped launch many new products and developed marketing and brand expertise by supporting renowned brands such as Freon®, Corian® and Tyvek®.
Wendy is a creative and skilled problem solver capable of quickly completing projects for optimal business results. She excels at both developing marketing communications strategies to support business goals and executing communications like presentations, websites and ad campaigns that support strategic objectives. Wendy earned her BA in Advertising at Penn State.
Wendy is enthusiastic for just about anything she does including running, biking, skiing, golfing, playing tennis, traveling, cooking and reading. She is married to Dan for almost 25 years and they have two children, Evan (20) and Danielle (16).
Layla Kashani, LSS Master Black Belt and Senior Consultant
Layla Kashani is an Associate of Beauchamp Consulting, offering targeted and industry specific consulting for its clients since 2008. Layla is a seasoned continuous improvement professional who offers program implementation, project management, and process design consulting services based upon the Lean Six Sigma methodology. A former General Manager from a division at GE, Layla has global operations management experience throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Americas. She uses her financial acumen along with process improvement tactics to increase benefit realization without disrupting day to day operational targets. The approach helps remove risk, waste, and increase efficient operations by using best practices, sharing tools, tactics, and approaches to bring about rapid and sustainable change to an organization. Her industry experience includes telecommunications, oil & gas, finance, banking, technology, and food & beverage industries.
Layla enjoys helping her clients discover and assess the way they work, to find ways to improve that are beneficial and above all sustainable. Her ability to work with all levels of an organization, finding the common objectives, is the key to her method to bring about lasting and improved change to an organization.
Michelle Kleiber-Viglione, Certified Reliability and Professional Engineer and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
Michelle Kleiber-Viglione is an engineering leader with a diverse operational background including automotive, life sciences, entertainment, industrial and medical device manufacturing. Michelle is a strong technical manager and team builder who uses her extensive experience to resolve complex technical issues with leadership teams and front-line employees. She gained her lean experience working with a Toyota supplier and as part of the Lean Implementation team at Ford in 2000. A certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Michelle uses ‘on the factory floor’ first-hand knowledge and the Kaizen problem solving approach to resolve issues for customers and improve production rates at Ford, Genentech, Boehringer Ingelheim, Amazon and FXI.
Michelle is a Professional Engineer and certified Reliability Engineer who uses a disciplined project management approach along with cross-functional training, Kaizen, root cause analysis and reliability centered maintenance to advise on decisions to fund complex engineering investments. She continually develops long-term strategic plans, including developing budgets, multi-year project scopes and financial analysis. Her extensive engineering background allows her to lead the development of standards, KPI’s and the analytics to track team progress. Michelle’s ability to effectively interact with all levels of the team as she develops employees to grow in technical competence is perhaps her greatest contribution to organizational success and the one she continuously deploys to develop teams.
Lesley Edmond, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Agency Leader and Government Housing Expert
Ms. Edmond has a background in civil rights, social justice, project management and affordable housing. She currently resides in SE Washington, DC with her son Reginald. She has worked at the DC Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) for almost 10 years. She loves to cook, garden and read.
Ms. Edmond is a Housing Compliance Officer at DCHD. Ms. Edmond manages the federal and local programs requirements for the agency, such as Davis Bacon, Fair Housing, HOME and CDBG compliance and project and program monitoring.
Ms. Edmond previously worked as the Inclusionary Zoning Program Manager at DHCD as well as a Program Analyst. Previously, at a consulting company, she worked on several national fair housing initiatives. She assisted with overseeing the implementation of enforcement testing methodology and data analysis. Additionally, she managed the implementation of a program evaluation of the quality of the federal fair housing complaint process.
Ms. Edmond is a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Law and James Madison University. Ms. Edmond completed the District of Columbia Certified Public Manager Program administered through the George Washington University in 2013 and Executive Leadership Program in 2018. Having attained Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification, she plans to pursue her Black Belt next.
John Richards, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and Professional Engineer
John Richards is a technical masters level engineer with 21+ years of experience in engineering, Lean Six Sigma, Value Analysis Value Engineering, and project management. John’s experience spans large and small organizations including government contracts with NASA. His expertise spans a number of industries including fiber optics, converting, consumer products, home furnishing, and ballistic materials for military and domestic defense.
John has instructed and mentored in areas that include Lean Six Sigma Green and Black Belt, Project Management, and Value Analysis/Value Engineering. He is passionate about continuous improvement and Lean Six Sigma thinking and understand how to motivate and inspire teams and leaders to drive progress and change.
JK Apraku-Gyau, Lean and Operations Leader and experienced Government Agency Director
Kwasi Apraku-Gyau, also known as JK, is an experienced Lean Leader and has spent more than half of his career focused on Continuous Improvements and Operations Leadership. A 2001 graduate of Ohio University, Kwasi began his career working for the Maryland State’s Attorney’s office. After a year with the State’s attorney, Kwasi moved into the hectic world of corporate litigation as a Case Manager for two prestigious Law firms. In both roles, Kwasi was the team lead responsible for clients such as: Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, Google, Bank of America, King Pharmaceuticals, to name a few. However, it was his work with public safety and justice pro bono cases that gave him the most fulfillment. In 2010, Kwasi received his Masters in Business Administration from John Hopkins University. Shortly thereafter, Kwasi left the private sector to join the District of Columbia Government taking on roles that have been more fitting with his passion for servicing the public.
Kwasi, first role in the District government was Director of Quality Improvement at St. Elizabeths Hospital (SEH) in 2011. He served as the Chief of Staff at SEH before moving to the Department of Behavioral Health (DBH) headquarters in 2016 to serve as the Administrative Operations Manager (AOM). As the AOM, Kwasi was charged with overseeing operations for the agency’s clinical services sector. All three of Kwasi’s roles at DBH dealt with Operation Leadership and management of resources and budgets.
In July 2019, Kwasi joined the DC Department of Corrections as the Director of the Resources to Empower and Develop You (READY) Center. Since taking on the Director role, Kwasi has worked tirelessly with the District’s re-entry partners: governmental agencies, community-based organizations (CBOs), and advocates, to further improve and develop the District’s re-entry system to benefit all returning citizens in the District of Columbia.
On a personal note, Kwasi was born in London and lived in Ghana, West Africa, where his family is from. Kwasi is an avid traveler. He enjoys spending time at the beach or his lake home in Western Maryland.
Brandon Long, Operations Leader, Certified Lean Bronze Practitioner and experienced project manager.
Brandon Long is an experienced Lean Leader and has spent the past ten years focused on Continuous Improvement, Project Management, and Operations Leadership. He is a skilled industrial engineer with expertise in developing operational excellence at plant locations in a handful of countries with diverse cultures. He has experience with lean turnarounds, implementation of 80/20 for business, new product introductions, developing quality management systems, transfers of work, plant resizing/closures, and onboarding/developing 3PL partnership relationships. Brandon has significant experience building and deploying Hoshin/Strategy Deployment with senior leaders and translating the strategy to tactical and measurable projects with global and site-level teams. As a Certified Lean-Bronze practitioner, he has trained 300+ associates on basics of Lean Enterprise and principles from the Toyota Production System.
Brandon’s manufacturing and process expertise includes metals machining and welding, facility operations, demand management, materials planning, customer service, product/portfolio management, and project management. He was a plant manager for three years with Rexnord and managed several production lines and projects within six plants at Halliburton Oilfield Services. He has worked on many projects at factories across the United States, Malaysia, Singapore, U.A.E., and United Kingdom.
On a personal note, Brandon is an avid traveler, enjoys the outdoors, and operates a local woodworking business as designer/craftsman.
Tina Agustiady, Six Sigma Master Black Belt and Continuous Improvement Leader
Tina Agustiady is a partner at InnovaNet where she holds the title of, Director of Continuous Improvement. She was responsible for the strategic and tactical implementation of a lean system deployment and furthering the transformation to a Lean culture to support strategic business initiatives and help drive overall operational excellence within the Continuous Improvement initiative for a $2 Billion manufacturer of construction components by focusing on management of cross-functional teams and improvement of operational metrics and objectives at all levels of the organization.
Tina consistently improves cost, quality, and delivery by applying Lean and Six Sigma tools to achieve improvements through a simplification process. Tina is an experienced leader who has facilitated many Kaizen, 5s, and Root Cause Analysis events throughout her career in the healthcare, food, and chemical industries. She has conducted six sigma training and improvement programs in the Baking industry at Dawn Foods and at Nestlé Prepared Foods where she held positions as a Six Sigma Product and Process Design Specialist responsible for driving optimum fit of product design and current manufacturing process capability, reducing total manufacturing cost and consumer complaints.
Her many activities and responsibilities include serving as the past Lean Division President and current Technical Vice President of Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE). She has served as a board director and chairman for the IISE annual conferences and Lean Six Sigma conferences.
Agustiady is an instructor who trains and certifies students for Lean, Six Sigma, Innovation, Design of Experiments and Business Process Management for IISE, Lean Sigma Corporation, Six Sigma Digest, and Villanova/Bisk University. She is a Subject Matter Expert, Professor and Course Designer for professional certification programs, including undergraduate and graduate degrees at Villanova University and Bisk Education.
